About Us

Our story is deeply rooted in a family tradition of wooden boatbuilding and life at sea, passed down through generations. In every generation, there has been someone devoted to this craft — not just as a profession, but as a way of life.

For us, that is our captain, who grew up surrounded by boats and the sea. He observed the craft from his grandfather, learned it from his father, and now continues the tradition independently. His father, Dido Ive, is a true master who never compromises when it comes to traditional boatbuilding methods. The whole family even took part in building their first wooden boat, Rajna. Alongside his maritime roots, our captain brings years of experience in tourism and knows the entire local archipelago like the back of his hand.

We always dreamed of having our own traditional wooden boat for our family. A few years ago, we found exactly what we were looking for — a wooden leut, over 70 years old, with a rich and meaningful story.

Originally, the boat was built as a working vessel for transporting sand. Sand was extracted from the sea and delivered to the mainland, where it was used for construction. Later on, it was purchased by a private owner who upgraded it with a cabin and additional structure, transforming it from a working boat into a vessel for personal use — from a cargo boat into a small private yacht.

Thanks to its original construction, designed specifically for the Adriatic, the boat has preserved its exceptional stability and safety, combined with the comfort and beauty it carries today.

When it became part of our family, we approached it with great care. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen and maintained, because when you come from a family of boatbuilders, expectations are high. Today, we are proud to say that this leut has become a part of our story.

So that this story would not remain ours alone, we decided to dedicate part of the year to working in tourism, allowing others to experience what we live every day — the sea, the boat, and the way of life that comes with it.

We believe that wooden boats are living beings, and we treat them as such. They require special care and attention, and in return, they remind us of a slower, more mindful way of life. For us, they are a reminder to slow down, to value patience, and to appreciate the imperfect details that make life truly beautiful.

What brings us particular joy is that our children, although still young, are already part of this story — each in their own way. We believe this boat will bring them many meaningful experiences and memories throughout their lives.

Our boat is primarily dedicated to private groups and private charters, as this allows us to truly share our vision. Most often, these are families, groups of friends, colleagues on team-building trips, or couples — people who want to experience the sea in their own way.
